5th Grade Teacher & PE Email Phone: 712-476-2615 After graduating from Dordt University in 2000 as an Elementary classroom and Physical Education Major, I was able to get a taste of a variety of teaching experiences while substitute teaching for a half-semester. It was during this time I had the opportunity to fill in some of my former teachers at Rock Valley Christian School. Fortunately, a position opened at RVCS during that semester - and I have been teaching 5th grade and Physical Education ever since!
It is very exciting to be a part of the RVCS community, and I consider it a privilege to be able to guide God's children to a greater relationship with their Lord and Savior through their study and activity at school. As a PE teacher, I love that I can use movement, play, and sport to give students new experiences not only in physical areas as a gift from God, but also to help teach them how to use learned skills, such as teamwork and sportsmanship, in their daily life as a Christian.
Outside school I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling to new places, reading a good book, and spending time with my friends and family (especially my nieces and nephews!).
