Q: What is the history of the school?
A: Rock Valley Christian School has a rich history of serving the Lord. A School Society was organized with 48 charter members on February 1, 1911. Seven board members were selected and efforts were made to obtain teachers and open the school in the fall of 1911, but this was not successful so the official opening of the school was delayed until September 5, 1912. There were 28 pupils this first year for grades 1-8. An old church building served as the school building from 1912 to 1919. In September 1917 the School Society decided to build a new and more permanent school and in December of 1919, the students and staff moved into this new building.
The school has educated students from a Reformed perspective for over 100 years and continues to do so today. A dedicated faculty, staff, and board enjoy working with His covenant children, fulfilling the mission to disciple God's children by equipping them with a knowledge and understanding of Christ and His creation so that they can obediently serve God and others as they work and play. we look forward to discussing with you what God is doing through Rock Valley Christian School!
