Welcome, Paul Lapka!
We are excited to welcome Paul Lapka to Rock Valley Christian School as our new administrator!
Paul brings a heart for Christian education, extensive classroom experience, and a desire to serve students, families, and staff. We are grateful for the opportunity to welcome him and his family to the RVCS community.
Education & Professional Experience
Paul earned his B.A. in Elementary Education from Dordt College in 1998 and later completed his Master’s in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2020.
After graduating from Dordt, Paul began his teaching career at Calvin Christian School in Escondido, California. He taught third grade for six years before moving to fifth grade, where he spent the next 18 years serving students and families. In 2022, God led him into school administration, and he became the full-time K–5 principal at Calvin Christian.
After 28 years in Southern California, God opened the door for Paul and his family to make the move to Rock Valley and join the RVCS community. He is excited for the opportunity to serve our students, families, and staff and to contribute to the continued growth of Rock Valley Christian School.
Family & Interests
Paul is married to his wife, Danae, and they have two college-aged sons, Isaac and Caleb, who both attend Dordt University. Their family also includes a yellow Lab named Reggie.
Paul enjoys sports, whether watching them on television or attending live events. He is a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan and, after living in Southern California for 28 years, also became a fan of the San Diego Padres. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, smoking meat, doing puzzles, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
As we begin this new chapter, we are thankful for God’s continued provision and guidance. We pray that Paul’s leadership will help RVCS continue to grow in wisdom, strengthen our school community, and faithfully pursue our mission of providing a Christ-centered education.
